Absolutely amazing Bakery! I come here 2-3 times a year and it never disappoints. There are so many different unique flavors of doughnuts and the creme brulee is amazing. They even have gluten free options for my sister. The bakery has many different types of seating including window seats, chairs and tables, and couches. The staff are super friendly and there are so many options. They have many different types of drinks and coffee. I highly recommend this place!
Blackbird Bakery never disappoints and it’s hard to walk out of without a box full of something sweet. The pink almond cake is a must, and the chocolate chip cheesecake and crème brûlée were just as good. We just happened to stop in, but if I lived closer I’d be in trouble!

Blackbird Bakery was a new find on Valentines day and I must say it was amazing! They have an amazing assortment of desserts and donuts. The pink almond donut is by far my favorite donut of all time and I am not a frequent donut consumer. I believe there is something for everyone. Even though it was very busy, the atmosphere was comfortable and easy to talk in. Plenty of seats upstairs and downstairs (as pictured). I will be a repeat customer for sure!
Blackbird Bakery is hands down one of the best bakeries in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. I’m a Southern girl from Knoxville, and every time I visit Bristol I have to stop here. The raspberry cheesecake is my absolute favorite, and the donuts are always delicious. Honestly, everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and really knowledgeable about their baked goods. It’s just one of those places that feels special every time you walk in.
I have been here 3 times. Absolutely worth the 10 hour drive from Maryland. The atmosphere has smooth classical and jazz, with the air being chill but not chilly. The tables and chairs are solid and look beautiful. Food is amazing I usually go for the cheesecakes, Hashbrowns or donuts. The food alone is enough for me to drive back to my hotel white knuckled trying not to fall asleep. Thank you for the amazing experience every time!

Cakes to donuts and everything in between is on the menu. A must of you're in Bristol. Just up from the library a short walk from state street.

Worth the Stop? Absolutely. Worth Going Back? Every Chance You Get. Blackbird Bakery in Bristol, Virginia, kept showing up on every “must visit” list we found, and after one visit, I completely understand why. This is the place to go when you’re looking for exceptional baked goods and a little indulgence. We honestly ended up making dessert our lunch because we missed breakfast and didn’t have time for a full meal. No regrets. The brownie tower was outrageously good, with a rich mousse and icing that made every bite worth it. The key lime pie was bright, balanced, and excellent. The chocolate mousse tart was another standout, and the banana pudding was exactly what Southern banana pudding should be—comforting, flavorful, and done right. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with recommendations. The space itself is beautiful, calm, and inviting. Being located on the ground floor of the Masonic Temple gives it an extra bit of character and history that I particularly appreciated. As a man who works and travels in foreign lands, I especially appreciate seeing the lower floor of such a historic building put to use for a wonderful local treasure like this. It is a fitting way for a landmark structure to remain part of the daily life of the community while preserving its history and character. If Blackbird Bakery were in my hometown, it would become a dangerous weekly habit. Some places sell desserts. Blackbird creates reasons to come back. Worth the Stop? Absolutely. Worth Going Back? Without question.
